New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the e-admit cards for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination (CSE) 2026. Candidates who have registered for the upcoming examination can now download their hall tickets from the official UPSC websites.
The UPSC CSE Preliminary Exam 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
As per the official notification, no physical copies of the admit cards will be sent to the candidates by post. Aspirants must download the e-admit card online and take a clear printout to be allowed entry into the examination center.
How to Download the UPSC Prelims 2026 Admit Card:
Visit the official UPSC portals: upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in.
On the homepage, navigate to the "Admit Cards" tab.
Click on the link that reads "E-Admit Cards for Various Examinations of UPSC" and select the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2026.
Read the mandatory instructions carefully and click on 'Yes' to proceed.
Select your preferred login method: either by Registration ID or Roll Number.
Enter your login credentials along with your Date of Birth and the security captcha code.
Click on 'Submit'. Your UPSC CSE Prelims 2026 admit card will appear on the screen.
Download the PDF and take 2-3 printouts on A4 size paper for future reference.
Exam Timings and Pattern:
The preliminary examination will be conducted in an offline, OMR-based format across various centers in India. The exam consists of two mandatory papers held on the same day in two shifts
- General Studies (GS) Paper I: 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM
- Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) Paper II: 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM
