BENGALURU: In a recent administrative reshuffle, the Government of Karnataka issued a notification on Thursday, April 23, 2026, announcing the immediate transfer and new postings of four Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) officers.
The notification, issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) in the interest of public and administrative exigencies, details the following reassignments:
1. Dr. N.R. Nagaraju
Previous Status: KAS (Super Time Scale), waiting for posting.
New Posting: Appointed as Joint Director (Administration), Commissioner's Office, Department of School Education, Bengaluru.
He replaces Smt. Vijaya E. Ravikumar, KAS (Selection Grade), who has been transferred.
2. Dr. Shankarappa Vankyal
Previous Status: KAS (Selection Grade), Registrar at Karnatak University, Dharwad.
New Posting: Appointed as Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Rajarajeshwari Zone-1, Bengaluru West City Corporation.
He takes over a previously vacant post.
3. Sri Prasannakumar V.K.
Previous Status: KAS (Senior Scale), waiting for posting.
New Posting: Appointed as Joint Director (Administration), Department of School Education (Pre-University), Bengaluru.
He takes over a previously vacant post.
4. Sri Mahesh P.S.
Previous Status: KAS (Senior Scale), Assistant Commissioner (Administration), Greater Bengaluru Authority, Bengaluru.
New Posting: Appointed as Special Land Acquisition Officer, Hemavati Reservoir Project-2, Hassan.
He replaces Sri Manjunath V., KAS (Junior Scale), who has been transferred.
The official order explicitly instructs officers who are relieved and waiting for a new posting as a result of these changes to report immediately to the DPAR or their parent department. The notification was signed by Keshavaprasad K.H., Under Secretary to Government, DPAR (Services-2), by order and in the name of the Governor of Karnataka.
