Hyderabad: The Telangana State Government is gearing
up to launch a new health card scheme for its employees. Authorities
have been directed by Special Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao to make
necessary arrangements to issue the new health cards on June 2nd, 2026. The decision was finalized during a recent meeting with the Joint Staff Council.
Key Highlights of the New Health Card Scheme:

Premium Contribution: Under the new health card policy, a monthly contribution of 1.5% from the employees’ basic pay will be deducted.

Corpus Fund:
The state government will match the employees’ contribution with an
equal share, creating a dedicated corpus fund to sustain the health
scheme. -
Launch Date: The formal distribution of these health cards is highly anticipated to be inaugurated by the Chief Minister on June 2nd.
